I like the fact that you get to have actual hands on experience with grooming actual customers’ dogs, when you attend/ enroll at Diamond Cut you get to experience what it would be like to work in a shop. I like the fact that Nancy is always honest and truthful when it comes to grooming, she doesn’t sugarcoat. I will take everything I have at Diamond Cut all the different techniques and apply it to a job that I get. If I ever need help in the future with the dog, I will come to Nancy for advice because she is the best teacher you can get, and also a lifelong friend."

She is a great teacher with an eye for detail and perfection. She has also told us several times that she is available for us for questions, issues or suggestions even after we graduate. "I loved the experience I received by attending Diamond Cut. Nancy and Doug are great people, and amazing teachers! From fine tuning my scissor skills, to learning how to properly brush and bathe a dog, I learned it all. I also learned how to run my own business and set up a mobile grooming van if I wanted to. "We now have three doodles, two GD and one Labradoodle. We struggled to find a dog grooming shop that would NOT poodle our doodles. Our journey started 13 years ago and 12 years ago we found Nancy and Doug McClain and Diamond Dog and have been loyal fans/customers/friends since then. There have been some trade offs that we have been fine with. Being a school means that we don't drop the girls off at 10 and pick them up after lunch. Nancy spends time teaching her students so a pickup at 5 or 6 is fine with us because they always come home looking beautiful. Every once in a while Nancy will alert us to a medical need where we need to take one of the girls to the vet and you simply won't get that advice from most other shops. My favorite part of the experience is at pickup time where I try to spend a few minutes getting hugs from their doodle, Hunter or playing fetch with Mia. Great people, give them a try."
